Don’t worry…

Hey guys. Not dead. I was putting off posting something until I had my Games of The Decade list done, but I wanted to post some kind of update since it’s been a while.

Life kinda got in the way of writing for a bit, but I’m still commited to finishing the list, and work has already started on the next ten.

Other than that, I have plans to revisit some games I really should have finished by now, and write about them as I play them. (I’ve considered recording myself playing them as well and potentially returning to YouTube, but we’ll see).

This feature’s tentative name is Bacon’s Backlog and the games include Half Life 2, Bioshock, Max Payne 1&2, The Witcher 3, God of War(2018), and the Mass Effect trilogy. I know, I know. Its a travesty that I’ve never finished these modern classics and I’m seeking to rectify that.

I tend to gravitate towards games that stress tight gameplay, twitchy fun and game feel, which generally means Nintendo-published games, and indie games. Games that seek to tell a deep, engrossing story, and explore more philosophical themes, are, generally, the ones I don’t end up finishing. But I want that to change, and I hope that my thoughts on these games as I finish them for the first time will be somewhat interesting and insightful.

In the meantime, I intend to finish my Games of The Decade list first, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I should have the next part up within a few days.
